I was at Aunt Kerry's Anniversary party, and was such a good girl! Well behaved and friendly to everyone! My story is a sad one, but I still have hope in my heart!  My name is Sasha and I’m a 9-year-old girl.  I’ve been in a home for the last eight years, but my Mom and Dad got divorced and neither one would keep me.  The SOAR folks have been so kind since I arrived - they’ve bathed me and given me Frontline for fleas, and when it was discovered that I have heartworms, they paid for my treatment, which I’m going through now.  Soon I’ll be good as new with a healthy heart!  I’m a super-sweet girl with one blue eye and one brown - they’re quite beautiful.  I am very calm and when I come out of my kennel, I don’t run all around - I just want to be next to you.  The SOAR folks think I’d be a great companion for anybody - a single person, a family with kids, or a retired couple.  I don’t like to use the bathroom in my kennel, so at some point I was probably house-trained.  I’m very eager to please and would love to be part of a family again.  Would you please consider adopting me?  Please call SOAR at 910-457-6340.  They’ll be happy to tell you more.

Golden Retriever Foster Parents Are Needed! Would you consider being a foster home so that a Golden Retriever in need, such as those waiting at Animal Control, might have a place to go while Cape Fear Golden Retriever Rescue (CFGRR) works on placing them in a permanent home? Currently, the number of Golden Retrievers that CFGRR can help is severely limited by the scarcity of foster homes available. As a foster parent you have the opportunity to help multiple dogs over a period of time. As CFGRR brings Golden’s into its rescue program, you can provide a place for them to stay and be loved until they are healthy and ready to be adopted. Fostering is not always easy, but it can be very rewarding. All vet work is paid for, food can be paid for by the rescue, all you supply is a loving home.
